Basic Obedience: (B.Ob)

DS.T.S. defines Basic Obedience as On Leash Training and household manners. In all obedience programs we also deal with many behavioral issues.

DS.T.S. encourages all dog owners to train their dogs to a minimum of basic obedience. We believe that Good Dog Training equates to preventive medicine when it comes to many behavioral issues. Many behavior problems will never even develop in a well-trained dog that has been raised properly.

DS.T.S. does its Basic Obedience as private lessons, and they are paid for on a pay as you go basis. Most households will take 8-10 sessions to well complete our obedience program, but some have done it in 6 sessions, others may need 12. Since DS.T.S. does this training only on an individual basis, we can design the program to your exact needs. No more, no less.

The pay as you go base rate is $90.00 per session.

Sessions are at least 45 minutes long. But your first and second session will often last 1 1/4 hours, since our fees are per session and not based on time involved, you get the benefit.

Advanced Obedience: (A.Ob)

DS.T.S defines Advanced Obedience as Off Leash Training.* A fully trained dog is an Off Leash trained dog and will listen to it's owner regardless of distractions or environment.

A dog must have completed DS.T.S. Basic Obedience with a successful outcome, or the equivalent training,** to proceed to Advanced Obedience.

This program is also on a pay as you basis, with most lessons taking place in towns and local area parks. The base rate is the same as in Basic Obedience, $90.00 per session and typical programs last for 6-8 sessions.
